Update

It has been a long time since I've last blogged; so I'm going to I'm going to take this opportunity to update:

I bought a brand new car as of March 17: 2007 Mercury Milan V6 Premier version, Black on black interior with leather seats, heated seats, sunroof, upgraded soundsystem (more speakers and subs) ..etc. I look forward to driving it everyday, making my foiling commute to work every day. If I could marry my car, I would. I digress....

My MBA classes, Business law and Financial Managment have yet to drive me mad. My Business law professor takes medication for his episodic Vertigo, which evidently helps him maintain one octive level of speech..It could be worse. Meanwhile, my Financial Managment professor is dynamic and worldy, in fact he recently came back from one of his frequent visits in Australia, where his wife grew up. Academically, things are exuberant.

My adorable boyfriend recently purchased a home, and is gradually moving small items into the vacant estate. His purchase of a home somehow makes me feel older, despite only being 24 years old. Other details to our situation also adds to my inferiority, yet I feel those best be not stated on a public blog. But I love him, I'm proud of him, he's a huge center and rock in my life...He's amazing!

Now, let me lengthen my "break" from studying and touch upon the crazy events that have occurred this week alone!

April 16, 2007-- Gunman kills 32 at Virginia Tech shooting before being killed

Commentary: One of the most important lessons one must learn from this story is to be good to your peers, no matter what. Peers from the gunmans high school have come forward to comment of the taunting and racism he grew up with. Anyone who is not a minority can't possibly begin to understand...Just trust me!

Another element to be noted in this event is directed to parents: Institute some form of structure in a childs life. One of the Psychologists noted that all of the shooting incidents have been performed by young men. Additionally, boys feel 'un-touchable' and/or don't feel in control of situations in their lives.

April 20, 2007--With job in doubt, JSC gunman shoots supervisor

Commentary: So this engineer at the NASA center in Houston, TX receives an email regarding his performance as an employee, and is advised a review of his performance is in effect. The next day, after reflecting on the possibility that he may no longer be gainfully employeed, he snaps. Holds a co-worker hostage, kills his supervisor, and kills himself.

Okay, yes, life is stressful. But, if you're 60 years old, about 5 or so years from retirement, why would you kill yourself? Why not simply retire early? What is going on in this world?
